The operating system of a venue

Horeca is a multi-tenant SaaS platform that brings the entire flow of cafes, restaurants, bars, patisseries and similar food-and-beverage venues onto a single core. The waiter opening the table, the cook at the stove, the tab at the till, the courier on the road and the guest ordering from their phone all live inside the same system, at the same moment.

It is not a single 'till program': from a catalogue of 56 modules — orders, payments, kitchen, inventory, staff, marketing and digital screens included — the set a business actually needs is switched on according to its type. A small coffee shop starts with three modules; a multi-branch chain grows on the same core.

  • Multi-tenant: organization → brand → branch hierarchy
  • Real-time: orders flow between screens by themselves
  • Modular: every module toggles per branch and is sold separately
  • Honest catalogue: unbuilt modules are marked 'Soon' and cannot be activated

Eight apps, one core

Every role sees only its own screen — nobody gets lost among forty menus they will never use. Behind all of them stands one API, one database, one truth.

Desk — business panel

Menu, floor plan, inventory, staff, reports: the owner's and manager's desk.

Orbit — platform panel

Tenant management, module catalogue, subscriptions and pricing: the operator's control tower.

Floor — waiter

Tables, orders, service calls and the shift, in the waiter's pocket.

Flame — kitchen (KDS)

Tickets land on a screen instead of paper; how long each order has waited, at a glance.

Till — till

Collection, bill splitting and tab closure; the day-end comes from records, not guesses.

Beam — TV screens

Dynamic menuboards, social wall, announcements and match mode: even the TVs in the window are part of the system.

Route — courier

Deliveries, addresses and earnings; the delivery channel stays in the venue's own hands.

Guest side — QR

Menu, ordering, waiter calls and pay-at-table without installing an app; loyalty starts right there.

The heart of the flow

01

Tabs & payments

Every table, takeaway and counter order runs on a single tab logic. Payments attach to individual items, not the tab as a whole: who paid for what is explicit at the record level. Splitting, treats, discounts and tips — with fair distribution across the team — are natural movements of the tab.

  • Item-level payments and bill splitting
  • Tip collection and shift distribution
  • Transactional outbox pattern for money consistency
02

Menu, recipes & true cost

With categories, products, variants and option groups, the menu is managed in one place; a change reflects on the QR menu, the waiter and the till simultaneously. Behind every product stands a recipe: stock depletes on sale, and true cost and margin emerge by themselves.

  • Recipe-based stock depletion (BOM)
  • Cost & profitability tracking (COGS)
  • Allergen and content labels filter on the QR menu
03

The guest experience

The QR code on the table opens the menu, the order lands in the kitchen, the waiter call routes to the right person, the bill closes from the phone. On top comes a layer that opens up with the venue's character: music requests, cross-table treats, suspended products, valet, gamification, a social wall.

  • App-less QR flow: menu → order → payment
  • Loyalty, gift cards, campaigns and subscription packages
  • Consent-based contact via the WiFi welcome portal
04

Reporting & forecasting

The numbers come from the flow itself, not the till: the day's revenue, order distribution, staff performance and branch comparisons on one screen. As sales history accumulates, the busyness heatmap and demand forecast move 'how many staff for Tuesday' from intuition to data.

  • Live dashboard and day-end
  • Heatmap, demand forecast, AI recommendations
  • Multi-branch: centralized reporting

Every venue builds its own Horeca

Coffee shop, pub, hookah lounge, fast food, fine dining, beach club, e-sports cafe, brunch spot, hotel, patisserie, sports bar, food court — Horeca defines twelve venue types, and a matrix assigns every module to every type as 'core', 'optional' or 'off'. When adding a business you pick its type; the system proposes the module set that makes sense, and you refine it.

Modules toggle per branch, and each one is a separately sold add-on: monthly or yearly, priced per module. You do not pay for features you do not use. Modules not yet built carry a 'Soon' badge in the catalogue and cannot be activated on a branch — we prefer to build before we sell.

Live in five steps

01

Discovery & type selection

We listen to the venue's flow: how many rooms, tables, is there delivery? The venue type is chosen and the module set narrowed.

02

Menu & floor setup

Categories, products, variants, recipes and the floor plan go in; an existing menu is migrated with bulk import.

03

Roles & devices

The team is defined; Floor for waiters, Flame for the kitchen, Till at the register, Beam in the window; QR codes go on the tables.

04

Team training

Usually the shortest step thanks to one-screen-per-role: everyone learns only their own screen.

05

Go-live & monitoring

The first services are watched closely and friction removed on the spot; new modules switch on as needs arise.

Good venue software goes unnoticed: it keeps the waiter looking at the table, not the screen, and the cook at the plate, not the ticket. Horeca's job is not to manage the service but to remove every bit of friction in its way.

Frequently asked

Is it for a single cafe or a chain?

Both. The organization → brand → branch hierarchy works the same for a single venue and a multi-brand group; the second branch is not a new installation but a new row under the same organization.

Which modules are included? Can I add later?

The core flow (menu, orders, tabs, roles) comes with every setup; the rest of the 56-module catalogue switches on per branch, whenever you want. Each module is priced separately — you never pay for what you do not use.

Can I import my existing menu?

Yes. Bulk menu import is solved as its own feature; your categories, products and prices are migrated, not re-typed one by one.

Do guests have to install an app?

No. From the QR code on the table, the menu, ordering, waiter calls and pay-at-table all run in the browser — no download, no sign-up.

What about POS devices, meal cards and accounting integrations?

These three are marked 'Soon' in the catalogue — they are not in the code yet, and we say so honestly. They sit at the front of the roadmap and will switch on as modules when ready.
